In order to make sure drinking water quality and water treatment plant can run in a low cost way in case of a sudden deterioration of raw water quality, the removal effects of turbidity and CODMn from Songhua River raw water with different dosages of powdered activated carbon (PAC) enhanced conventional water treatment by aluminum sulfate (AS), polyaluminumchloride(PAC), polyaluminumferric ( PAF) and the composites of both with potassium permanganate composite (PPC) and activated silicate were investigated.
