Abstract: The leaching gold experiment under the acidic condition of sodium hypochlorite-hydrochloric acid and alkakine condition of hypochlorite-sodium hydroxide was designed to recover gold from waste printed circuit board. Through orthogonal experiment anslysis, the result showed that leaching gold of hypochlorite-sodium hydroxide method had more advantages. The best leaching alkaline conditions were the NaClO concentration of 6 mol/L, NaOH concentration of 8 mol/L, solid/liquid ratio of 1∶6, reaction time of 40 min. Under these conditions, the average rate of leaching gold reached 94.5%. In summary, the sodium hypochlorite method has the advantages of high-efficiency, non-pollution,and low-cost. Thus, the sodium hypochlorite method was an environmental friendly technology of leaching gold.
