  • In order to identify the characteristics and sources of pollutants in Lake Chaohu Basin, as well as the relationship between eutrophication and distribution of organic phosphorus forms, the contents of various forms of organic phosphorus in sediments from seven inflow rivers of Lake Chaohu were determined, and analyses were given respectively on the distribution differences of various forms of organic phosphorus in the sediments of inflow rivers with different pollution types, and the relationship with other factors. The results show that the relative content order of Po fractions is residual Po>fulvic acid-Po >HCl-Po >humic acid-Po >NaHCO3-Po in sediments of soil and water conservation river, with the relative proportion of average: 7.5:3.1:1.9:1.5:1.0. The relative content order of Po fractions in sediments of urban pollution and non-point source pollution rivers is nearly identical, and the content of Po fractions in non-point source pollution rivers is lower than urban pollution and soil and water conservation rivers. The study finds that the middle labile Po is correlated with OM,TP,Pi,Po,TN,NaHCO3-Pi and NaOH-Pi. Furthermore, nonlabile Po is significantly correlated with Po and NaOH-Pi. They reflect that the middle nonlabile Po may easily convert into bioavailable phosphorus and nonlabile Po, while nonlabile Po still has the potential of bioavailable.
