Abstract:
Short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) are complex industrial chemicals of polychlorinated n-alkanes (PCAs) with 10 to 13 carbon atoms. Similar to other POPs, SCCPs are persistent in the environment and toxic, can transport over long range and bioaccumulate in organisms. Because of their complex composition, there is no validated analytical method for monitoring SCCPs in environment matrices. So the environment assessment about SCCPs is limited. This review focuses on the most recent developments for SCCPs analysis, including extraction, purification, detection and quantitative methods, to supply reference for future research.
